I had the privilege of meeting Christine at work a few years ago. She was such a kind pleasant person to talk to. She told me a little of her story and I was amazed by her positive outlook. Her love for her family was apparent in how she talked of them. It was a pleasure to work with her. Joe, Kiera, Denise, Michelle and family and friends of Christine, I knew Christine from growing up in Gander and attending school at St. Joseph's and St. Paul's. She was such a bubbly, friendly person and remained that way into our adulthood. She always wore a smile and was easy to have a conversation with no matter how long it had been since we last saw each other. She was a genuine and kind friend to all who knew her. My sincere condolences to Christine's husband Joe, her beautiful daughter Keira, and to the Kavanagh family. I was saddened to hear of Christine's passing but grateful that her suffering and pain is no longer. Christine was my childhood best friend when we lived as neighbors in Gander. Even though we only reconnected a few times in our adulthood, I knew that she was the same fun, free spirited, positive person I remembered. She was always game to try new things, this picture is from when I was teaching her to steer…. She was also at the funeral home when my father died with an early Christmas present… I still have the note she gave me with it “I was going to wait until Christmas to give this to you, but I think you can use the smile now”…. It was a small stuffed dragon, and one of my favourite items…
