To the Joys: the past 6 months or so that I got to work with Raymond, I enjoyed my time so very much. I always said he was like a grandfather to me. Always smiled for me, always laughing. I am so, so sorry to hear about your loss. I wish I got to see him one last time, unfortunately I am just learning about his passing. I am sending you all hugs and kisses, prayers and thoughts. My deepest condolences to you all on the passing of your beloved Ray. Edna, I still remember the first time I met Ray when he came to pick you up at the office to drive to Topsail in his wine and cream coloured two door studebaker. We had good times way back then with lots of laughs. He always had a smile on his face. He loved you dearly. You had a long time together and I am sure you have many special memories. Mrs. Joy, Cathy, Ray (Little Ray) and families, I really don’t have the words to express how sorry I am for the loss of such a special man. Mr. Joy was like a second father to all of us growing up, Both of our families spent so much time together when we were young but the memories are instilled in us forever. We had so much fun on ski-doos in the winter and thanks to him he kept them all running. I will never forget our camping trip and how he had the lights all hooked up. I will always remember how hard he worked on my first car, the old green Javelin. I was so proud when I got to drive it (thanks to Mrs. Joy who taught us all to drive). I know that he had endured a lot over the years but I know that he is at peace now. I would bet there is a big old Topsail reunion happening in heaven now. I will remember him fondly.
