July 14, 1938 - November 27, 2022

Passed away peacefully and suddenly, but with time for a final loving farewell from his two children, Howard and Pamela. He was welcomed into the afterlife by Helen, beloved wife of almost 58 years, parents Thomas and Bertha, as well as son-in-law Mike, brothers-in-law Jacob (Jane) Mercer, Ches Crisby and all those passed whom he loved. Left with many fond memories are brother Bruce, wife Lilly and their daughters, Annette (Val Coates), Kimberley (Ed Frazee) and Lori; sister-in-law, Irene Crisby and children, Charlie (Regina), Paul (Allison), and Elizabeth (Rick). He will also be remembered by many cousins and a circle of friends. Dave spent his lifetime volunteering his services and giving back to the community through sports, C.L.B. and the Masonic lodge, and was recognized/awarded for his contributions. If you think of him next time you give your time to help others, then his memory will be well honoured. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Hickey's Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay South,on Thursday December 1st , from 2 - 7:30 PM. Funeral service on Friday, December 2nd at 11 AM from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Topsail.
