Passed away peacefully at Chancellor Park on April 19th, 2023, age 80 years. Mike was a very outgoing man with a true love for life. He was a mechanic for many years with the Canadian Armed Forces and had an avid love for cars, particularly Mopar. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his family and friends at the cabin in Ocean Pond, Trinity Bay. He was an inspiration to many people throughout his life and for this, he will never be forgotten. Predeceased by his mother: Annie, lifelong friend: Paul Dunn. Left with fond and loving memories his loving wife: Sonya of fifty seven years, son: Paul (Jane), daughter: Carolyn (Jimmy), grandchildren: Nicholas, Natalie, great-grandchildren: Jarred, Landon (their mother Dawn), sister: Rose (Brian), special friends: Johnny (Louise), Whitby Ontario, Ruby Dunn, Mt. Pearl. Michael is also survived by nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends. Special thanks to the nursing and support staff at Chancellor Park 1West. Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Friday, April 21st, 2023 from 3 – 8 pm. Funeral service in Hickey’s Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023 at 2 pm. Interment in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Upper Gullies.
