We will never forget the kindness, compassion and the love that was given to Benjamin and our entire family. A special thank you to Dr. Conrad (Janeway PICU Intensivist. You're support, guidance and connection to our family will be embedded in our hearts forever. Thank you to Carbonear ER who always provided impeccable first point of care. A special thank you to Dr. Hamud for providing exceptional care over the past four years and most recently helping us provide a planned dignified passing for our son, We are truly grateful for the  compassion and empathy that was shown from the fifth floor staff during the most difficult time of our lives. Benjamin lived his entire life medically fragile but did it with a beautiful smile on his face. He was a ray of sunshine even through the darkest of times. He was nonverbal but his love did not have to be spoken to be heard. He loved classical music; bird sounds and a lot of hugs and kisses. Ben was the happiest in his dad's arms, snuggling on the couch enjoying numerous head massages. He lived every day to the best of his ability, bringing joy to everyone who was blessed to make his acquaintance. He will be forever missed. Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, from 1 – 4 pm.
