Poppy’s birthday 2024. We had the pleasure of celebrating this very special and joyous birthday with him. So many friends came around to see him. Great food, music, Leah sang beautifully - it was a really wonderful evening, and I think he enjoyed himself very much. I’m so glad Gwyneth and Lincoln were able to meet him. They enjoyed his stories very much!

Please let me express my heartfelt condolences to the entire family at the loss of someone so special to all of you.. I fondly remember talking with Mr. weir many times in my youth and I remember seeing him when I visited the purity facility in St. John’s and him showing me some of the things they made there. I used to joke in my bakery business later in life that I had someone pointed out to me what bakeries were really like and what I was getting myself into. I know you’ve all done your very best to ease his difficulties these past few years and help him be comfortable And loved with all of you nearby. While his suffering has ended, and he has passed to a better place, his memory remains alive and well through all of you. In this time of remembrance, I’d like to add my heartfelt feelings to yours and let you know he is in my memories and prayers as our all of you every day.

Heaven has gained a new angel for sure
Uncle Cyril was the king of mischief, the master of pranks, and the reason I have mild trust issues around dogs. Every time I visited, he made sure to remind me how much I disliked his dog—by grabbing my leg, barking like a lunatic, and watching me jump ten feet in the air. He lived for that reaction.
And then there were the treats! When he worked at Purity Factories, we kids thought he was basically Santa. The man walked through the door like a hero, carrying a massive bag of cookies and a stash of barrel candy, instantly making the house the sweetest place on the street. He knew how to win us over—sugar and sarcasm.
Even in the hospital, he hadn’t lost his charm. He was convinced I would bust him out, like some kind of undercover rescue mission. I wouldn’t have put it past him to fake his own escape just for the story .
Uncle Cyril wasn’t just the family prankster—he had the biggest heart. No matter how much he loved a good joke, he loved his family even more. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his whole world, and he made sure they knew it. Whether it was with a laugh, a kind word, he always showed up for the people he loved.
He may not be here to grab my leg and bark anymore (thankfully), but his kindness, his humor, and his love will always be with us. Uncle Cyril, you left us with full hearts, great memories, and maybe a slight fear of unexpected barking. Rest easy, and keep everyone up there laughing! ❤️❤️❤️RIP my dear Uncle
