Ruby Frances Philpott (nee Smith)

August 4, 1942 - March 8, 2025

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ruby Frances Philpott, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left this world too soon on Friday, March 8, 2025, at the age of 82, while residing at Meadow Creek Retirement Centre in Paradise.

Predeceased by her parents, Rose (Young) and Cyril Smith; brothers Cyril, Kevin, and Earl; sisters Donna and Diane; and partners Gordon and Larry.

Ruby is survived by her six children: Denise (Curt) Pike, Karen (Ward) George, Larry, Nancy (Kenneth) Comerford , Todd (Dana), Mike (Mi Soon); thirteen grandchildren: Mark, Melissa(Tony), Sarah, Julieanne, Liam, Eric, Ryan, Chelsea, William, Benjamin, Emily, Mirandah, Anna; and great-grandson Landon. She is also survived by her siblings: sisters Betty Coish, Gertrude Sansome, Peggy Braye; and brothers Russell Smith and Gerry Smith, as well as their families. Additionally, she leaves behind a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends, including her dear friend Mona Fudge.

Ruby's contagious smile, sense of humor, and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but especially by her family, who will cherish the memories of her love, guidance, and unwavering support.
