Darlene Vavasour

Obituary of Darlene Vavasour

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Wife & Mother; Darlene Vavasour. (age, 57). Darlene was the first child born to newlyweds Wallace & Juanita Crocker of Swift Current in 1967.  Swift Current was her first “home” where she grew up with her younger siblings Tonia & Desmond. She attended school at swift current academy, where she graduated. After graduation she moved to St. John’s to attend post-secondary. During this time, she met and fell in love with her husband of 37 years Ron Vavasour. If you believe “home” is a feeling not a place, Ron was her home.  Her professional career started at Brookfield where she met her best friend, Debbie. They had a soul sister bond, that both Darlene and Debbie cherished. Anyone who was privileged to know and love Darlene knew her life was her family. She was so proud of her two children Jessica & Michael. Watching them grow and become the beautiful people they are was her life’s work. When her grandson Wyatt was born – her “life cup” began overflowing with love every day. Darlene was predeceased by her Father Wallace Crocker. Father in-law Malcolm Vavasour. Mother in-law Alison Vavasour. Stepmother in-law Edith Vavasour. Brother in-law Bob Vavasour. Leaving to mourn with broken hearts. Mother; Juanita Crocker. Husband; Ronald Vavasour. Children; Jessica Vavasour & Michael Vavasour. Her Pride and Joy, Grandson; Wyatt Vavasour. Siblings; Tonia Crocker & Desmond (Cindy) Crocker. Brother in-law; Don Vavasour.
