Obituary of Elaine Carter

Elaine Carter, beloved wife of John Carter, of Topsail, Conception Bay South, passed peacefully away on April 13^th, 2025, at The Health Sciences Center in St. John’s, due to complications from dementia, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16^th, from 3-7 PM at Hickey's Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South, NL. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 17^th, at 10:00 AM at Saint John the Evangelist, 20 Rectory Road, Conception Bay South, with a graveside service to follow. Elaine was born on January 4^th, 1947, in Hillview. She moved to Topsail as a teenager for school, where she met John, and they were married on November 27^th, 1965. Elaine was active in her church and dedicated over 25 years to her work at Sobey's, leaving a lasting impression on many with her generous spirit and love of life. She is survived by her husband, John Carter; her sons: Paul (Brenda) and Rod (Debbie); three grandchildren, David, Andrew, and Abigail; her sister, Clara Perchard; her brothers, Lewis Stoyles (Louise) and Alister Stoyles; and an extensive extended family. Elaine will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
