Obituary of Kevin Farrell

FARRELL, Kevin Francis- Passed peacefully away on April 14th 2025 in his 77th year after a lengthy battle with dementia. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Mary Farrell, his brother Edward and sister Sheila. Kevin is survived by his partner Carol Power, son Patrick (Nicole), daughter Colleen (Mark Cook), step-son Rod, step-son Sean (Shari), step-daughter Tina (Danny Dunphy), grandchildren Cole, Logan, Rachel, Noah, Evelyn, Abbi, Emma, Kate, Sydney and Dayna, brothers Frank (Shirley), Joe (Patricia), Mike (Judy) and Noel, sisters Ruth (Gerry Williams), Lois (Doug Atkinson) and Marion (Maurice Comeau). Kevin also leaves behind a large circle of extended family as well as his dear friends the Byrne’s, St. Croix’s, Bennett’s, Denny’s and Holloway’s of Gully Pond Road and Wisemans Lane.

Kevin was a longtime employee of NewTel Communications, later Bell Aliant, and a former firefighter with the Conception Bay South Volunteer Fire Department.

Thanks to the staff at Pleasantview Towers for the care they provided in his final months.Special thanks to Betty Cluney, Kathleen Fancy, Amanda Canning and in particular Paula George for the exceptional in-home care and selflessness they provided in Kevin’s final years. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Hickeys Funeral Home 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on April 22nd from noon to 4pm.Service to be held at Hickeys Funeral Home Chapel on April 23rd at 11am.
