With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of a dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Susanne Cable, 89 years old. Surrounded by her family and their love and care.

She left us a legacy of love, kindness, and care. Remembered for her love of singing, gardening and playing cards.

Pre-deceased by husband of 71 years William, parents Hughie and Mabel Eason, siblings Hughie (Elspeth) and Bertram and brother-in-law Jim Porter.

Left to mourn, her beloved daughters: Betty (Fred) Clarke, Susanne (Ron) Walsh, bonus sons: Walter (Brenda) Drover and Chester (Gail) Jones, grandchildren: William (Tanya) Clarke, Pamela (Chad Worthman) Clarke, Jillian Walsh, Nicole (Nick) Walsh, bonus grandchildren: Tiffany Drover, Nick Jones, Crystal Jones, great-grandchildren: Priscilla (Austin) Clarke, Freddy (Rebecca) Clarke, Sophia Worthman, Ava Worthman, Finley Stamp, and great-great-grandchildren: Addison and Declan Clarke, sister: Amy Porter and brother Robert (Dallas). Sister-in-law: Ruth Also, a large circle of extended family and friends.

Flowers accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre for their care during her stay as well as the outstanding compassion and care of the staff of 3 East at Saint Patrick’s Mercy Home during her brief time there.

Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Friday, April 25th, 2025, from 3 – 8 pm. Funeral service in All Saints Anglican Church, Foxtrap on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at 11 am. Interment in All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road, Foxtrap.
