To Brendan's Family:
I was very sad to learn of Bren's death. I had the privilege of working with him over many years, and I had great respect for the quiet, confident and respectful manner in which he carried out his work and in his relationships with his co-workers. Bren was born to his choice of profession. As a social worker, he was kind, caring and non-judgemental. When I think of him, it will always be with pleasant memories.

To the Mullaly family, please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Brendan. Met Brendan at MUN. We shared the same major, and attended the same daily round of small intensive seminar classes. Such a niche environment provided the opportunity to appreciate one’s colleagues talents. Brendan’s quiet, empathic, resolute intelligence shone. By the time we reconnected working at confederation bldg.. Brendan’s respectful, collaborative leadership style was flourishing. In retirement, he gently plied his advocacy skills in fostering needed client-centred supports and services. Truly, a humble though amazingly competent individual. RIP.

I first met Brendan many years ago in university when he would visit Zeta and Louise in residence. Years after our paths would cross through work, and for a brief period of time he was my Regional Manager. He was always kind and patient. His work ethic and values were stellar. My condolences to the family. No one ever doubted that you were his priority.

Shelia, Paul and I are in the US and will not get to the visitation . We are both saddened by the news Val shared via text on Sunday. I knew he was not feeling well few weeks back and had hoped to visit when we returned this Saturday. Brendan was a pleasure to work with during my last few years in government. He was professional, a great mentor to all the Income Support Team. He cared about our clients, advocated on their behalf on policy development. He was a team player during our 911 response and I have great memories of him in the Emergency Command Center. Brenda left a legacy impact on many. He approached his Parkinson diagnosis with strength determination and optimism. We were both always glad to see him after retirement to catch up and laugh at some of our past work episodes.
Condolences to you , the girls and all his family. Treasure your memories in the days ahead. Truly gone way too early! Reach out if you need anything. Hugs !
