Obituary of Evelyn Morgan

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Evelyn Mariah Morgan who passed peacefully away on Friday, May 9^th, 2025, at the age of 89, surrounded by family. Mom is the last surviving member of her family. Predeceased by her husband: Eugene (1981), parents: Ben and Nellie Petten, Brother: Alf Petten, sisters: Rosalie Dawe, Stella Perrin, Florence Petten, Lucy Petten. Parents-in-law: Arch and Phoebe Morgan, Sister-in-law Eileen Morgan, Brothers-in-laws, Reginald Morgan, Lewis Morgan. Leaving to mourn her 11 children: Betty (Howard), Bernie (Cindy), Allan (Mary), Judy (Roland), Joyce-Ann (Doug), Eugene Jr, Clayton (Kim), Mary-Lou (Ches), Donna (Angus), Phoebe (David,deceased), Nellie. Also, her 23 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren along with a large circle of nieces and nephews. Mom spent her life taking care of others, putting everyone else’s need ahead of her own, that was just who she was. At the age of 77 she moved into Admiral's Coast Retirement Center where she spent her last 12 years having others care for her. Our family cannot thank them enough for the exceptional care, love and kindness they provided to her, making her feel truly special and loved. She considered them her extended family and for that we will be forever grateful. Thank you to the wonderful nurses, doctors and staff at 5NorthA, Health Sciences Center who cared for mom during her short stay, you will be forever remembered for your kindness and compassion. Funeral service in Hickey's Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 13^th, 2025, at 1pm.
