Brandon Nicholas Walsh, 27, of St. John’s Newfoundland.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Brandon Walsh on July 5th, 2025, at the age of 27.

Brandon was a son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend who brought laughter and love wherever he went. He was brilliantly quick-witted, endlessly kind, and deeply intelligent. His humor could light up the darkest day, and his compassion made those around him feel truly seen and cared for.

Though Brandon battled addiction, his fight was marked by tremendous courage. In recent months he was beginning to reclaim his life with determination and hope—building toward a future full of promise. We may never understand the full story of what happened, but we honour the beauty and bravery of the journey he was on.

Brandon was a lifelong lover of baseball, he could often be found at the ball field or watching the game with unwavering enthusiasm—his glove never far from reach. Whether playing catch in the yard, cheering for his favorite team, or sharing stories with friends, Brandon lived every day with heart and spirit.

Brandon is lovingly remembered by his mother, Crystal Owens, and her fiancé, John Barry; his brother, Ryan Walsh, and Ryan’s wife, Christine Johnston-Walsh; his cousin Mark Walsh (Christine); his grandfather, Ron Owens, along with Ron’s partner, Kathleen O’Brien. As well as aunts, Monique Owens-Taylor, Dallis Hamlyn (Jim), Diane Davis (Pete), Judy Walsh. His uncle Toby Walsh (Kelly). He also leaves behind a large and devoted circle of cousins, and friends whose lives were forever brightened by knowing him. Predeceased by his father Todd Walsh, grandmothers Shirley Walsh and Edith Owens.

Brandon’s legacy lives on in the laughter he sparked, the love he gave, and the memories we will carry with us always.

Gone far too soon, but never forgotten—his memory will live on in every game played under summer skies and in every moment shared with those who loved him.

Visitation in Hickey's Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Thursday July 10th, 2025 from 2-7pm. A celebration of life will be held in Hickey's Memorial Chapel, on Friday July 11th, 2025 at 1pm followed up by an Irish Wake at the Lions Club in CBS.
