Also, a host of multi- generational nephews and nieces and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Finally, words cannot express our deepest appreciation for Mom's homecare workers, who are now family. Ronalda and Alison, your care and kindness helped Mom in her daily life and helped her transition to Heaven with Grace and Dignity. Knowing that she was so Loved by you was such a Blessing Thank You!
Elsie (May) Porter born in Port de Grave, grew up in Foxtrap and lived her married life in Long Pond. She was a woman of many abilities; no challenge met undone. She made sheets of plywood at the Birch Plant, made cookies and crackers at Purity factories, rode horse and cart to St. John's with Nan to sell vegetables and eggs. She was a farmer, a wood maker, a baker, a knitter .... the list goes on. Above all she was kind, humble, selfless, giving, a woman of her word and a Lady. She had the gift of a "GreenThumb”, there was nothing that she could not take from seed or cutting and have it flourish. There are many homes today that have her perennial flowers and maple trees in their yards. Bless you All - you have a piece of this wonderful soul.
