It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kerry Churchill. She passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones at the Miller Centre in St. John’s NL, on July 31st, 2025. Born in St. John’s NL on March 30th, 1973. She was predeceased by her parents, Marie Gladney and Samuel Churchill.
Kerry is survived by her beloved son and daughter, Kyle (Ashley) and Kendra (Chris) her dearest siblings, Danielle, Dennis and Phillip. Kerry deeply admired her nieces and nephew including Rachel, Myla, Olivia and Dennis.
Kerry was a kind-hearted and giving person. She enjoyed her career at the Ears Nose and Throat specialist office in St. John’s. She enjoyed swimming in Neary’s pond as a child and then later on in life with her children. She spent many nights and early Saturday mornings cheering her children on in Taekwondo and basketball. To Kerry, her children were her entire world.
She experienced many trips including to Scotland, Montana, Texas and the Dominican. Kerry made many friends throughout her journeys and always managed to put a smile on people’s faces. Kerry always knew how to make people laugh and feel comfortable while enjoying a cup of tea.
Sadly in 2015 Kerry was diagnosed with breast cancer and suffered a 10-year battle. Her strength and resilience will always be remembered by her friends and family. Kerry was proud of her children and felt she could leave this earth knowing they would be cared for by their loving partners.
The family is forever grateful for the compassion and care provided by Dr. Hurley, Dr. Laing and staff at the Miller Centre in St. John’s. Throughout her final weeks she was shown immense professionalism and comfort. The family would also like to thank Pastor Eli Cross for his support and prayers during her final days.
