Ida Martin,
Entered into eternal peace and rest on August 13th, 2025, age 87 years. Ida was an exceptional mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She immensely enjoyed spending quality time with her four grandchildren, especially riding the ATV and sharing stories. She spend many hours around the campfire listening to a selection of tunes including the Cabin Party with a sociable between friends. Community involvement was important, and Ida devoted her time to several Seniors Clubs in CBS enjoying social time and a good game of cards. In her later years, and upon the decline of her health, Ida always found entertainment and enjoyment in “pull tabs”. She is predeceased by her husband: Rubert, parents: Chesley and Leah, brother: Job, sisters: Dot, Margaret, Joyce, Leah and members of the Martin family. Left with precious and loving memories daughters: Roxanne (Terry), Rosanne (David), grandchildren: Adam (Madison), Steven, Sheldon, Terri-Lynn, great-grandchildren: Brielle and John, sister: Dora, special nephew: Terry (Juanita) and family. Also, nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Sutton and staff, homecare workers: Laura and Holly. Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Sunday, August 17th, 2025, from 1pm – 5 pm. Funeral service in St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upper Gullies on Monday, August18th, 2025 at 11 am. Interment in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Upper Gullies. Donations may be made the CBS Food Bank.
