It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Jenkins, age 80, on August 16, 2025, from a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Bill was born on October 4, 1944, in St. John's, NL to Bill and May Jenkins.  He worked for Terra Transport (CN) from 1970 to 1996.  In 1966 he married his loving and devoted wife, Kay, in which they remained married for 59 years.  He was blessed with 4 children, Billy, Scott, Kelly and Cory in which were all raised in Mt. Pearl.

Bill spent a lot of time in the country, whether it was fishing, hunting or picking berries.  Some of his fondest moments would be playing cards with his family, particularly with his grandkids.  He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He will be sadly missed.

Predeceased by his parents, Bill and May Jenkins.  Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Kay (Walsh), his children, Bill (Cyndi), Scott (Lynn), Kelly (Steve) and Cory (Ann-Marie), grandchildren, Lakeisha, Kendra, Delaney, Lanae, Stephanie, Kristyn, Kevin and Ryan.  Also his great-grandkids, Marzia, Finnick and Theo.

Special thank you to the many people that contributed to his care.  Particular the staff at the Cancer Center, Miller Center (Palliative Care), Dr. Quigley, Dr. Ahmad and Dr. Break.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.  As per his wishes, there will be no visitation.

"Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost one pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy” Thank you for the beautiful memories.
