I have many fond memories of "Wilf" growing up. I spent many summers on Kenmount Road at my grandparents (Alice and Andrew Diane's. Wilf is my first cousin and they lived 5 minutes from nanny's house.
Wilf was always my first stop on arriving for the summer
You could always find him bent over a Chevy or Ford fixing something.
Love those memories. RIP my friend, cousin and all around buddy in those days

It is with a heavy heart that I send my deepest condolences to Sharon and family. Also to Wilf's sister Doreen my forever friend, her husband Joe, family and all the Skanes' family. We grew up on Kenmount road and the Skanes family were like my extended family. You will be greatly missed Wilf! Now you, Keto, Pudge can work on the old cars like you three used to.

My heart is broken that I have lost my last sibling. I can't remember us having words, even as children. I know he always had my back. He was quiet most of the time - lay back unless you crossed him. Even though Jean's children, Debbie Bobby & Mark were living away most of their lives he still had a special bond with them and always asked me if I had been talking to Jean & Stan and how was everyone doing. He always enjoyed their visits and he and Jean had a special bond. I think Bobby was much like Wilf. We grew up next door to Keto on Kenmount Rd so Boyd, Brenda & Cathy were more like brother and sisters to us than neices and nephews. They were more subject to being tormented and teased by him which I am sure they would attest to. His now great and great great neices and nephews will miss out on this tradition. Over all no one is perfect but in his own words Man Oh Man - Mr. Fantastic. He will be truly missed!

I was so sorry to hear about Wilf. Being fairly close in age, I never really thought of him as an uncle—he always felt more like a cousin or an older brother. I’ll always remember his easygoing nature, his quiet and thoughtful presence, and the way his sense of humor would shine through at just the right moments. The last time I was home to Newfoundland, I was so grateful to spend some wonderful quality time with Wilf and Sharon at Doreen and Joe’s place. There were so many good laughs and reminiscing of great times—I will truly cherish that visit. My heartfelt thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.

Aunt Sharon, Meggie and Randy. I am heartbroken to hear of Uncle Wilf’s passing. We wish we could be there with you. I’m holding you all in my heart.
