 The family is sad to announce the sudden passing of their loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Spencer.


 Pre-deceased by his mother, Daphne and younger brother, Harry. As well as his uncle Tom and aunt Wilena, Auntie Lee and uncle Walter and cousin Kenneth, mother and father-in-law, Olga and Bert Barnes, brothers-in-law, Lloyd and Linton Barnes, and sister-in-law,   Olga B. Barnes.


 Leaving to mourn with special and fond memories, his wife of 59 years, Joyce; children, Nancy Ann (Rod), Peter (Deanne), Susan and Jason (Melissa). He also leaves behind grandchildren, whom he was so proud of, Anna (Sam) and Rebecca (Jon) Batten, Benjamin and Darien Legge, Jessica Welsh-Howe and precious great-granddaughter, Johanna, brother-in-law, Albert (Sandra), sisters-in-law, Mary (Terry), Ann (Howard),and Margaret as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends.


Visitation in Hickey's Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Sunday, September 21st, 2025, from 2 pm —5 pm.


 Funeral service in St. Peter's Anglican Church, Upper Gullies on Monday, September 22 nd, 2025, at 11 am. Interment in St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery, Upper Gullies.
