Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on October 10th, 2025, age 78 years. Predeceased by his mother and father: Alice and Edward, son-in-law: Terry Hamilton. Left with a wealth of precious and loving memories his wife of 55 years: Mary, daughters: Renee, Sharon (Donny Tobin), precious grandchildren: Brett and Zack Hamilton. Also, ever remembered and missed by special fur friends: Ollie and Blacky.  Dad also leaves to mourn his extended family members and numerous friends across the miles.  Dad was a truly exceptional, wonderful, loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.  We would give anything to hear his voice one last time, to feel his arms around us for one final hug, to hear his words of advice, and as mom would say “boss us around”.  Our lives will never be the same.  Dad was our rock and our strength the foundation upon which our family was built.

Thank-you to the medical, nursing and support staff of the Health Science Centre. Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Monday, October 13th, 2025 from 4 pm – 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take Place in St. Edwards Parish, Manuels on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025 at 10 am. Interment in St. Thomas of Villa Nova Cemetery, Topsail.
