Douglas Cooper Obituary

Passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on November 17th, 2025, after a courageous battle with Crohn’s Disease. Predeceased by parents: Allan (1981) and Delphine (1995), brothers: Jack (Isabelle), Allan Jr (Ruby), sisters: Florence (Ellison), Myrtle (Dennis), Dorothy (Patrick), Vivian (Mercer), Lillian (Gerald). Left with a wealth of precious and treasured memories, his loving wife of 22 years: Joyce, son: Dougie (Liz), daughters: Kelly, Jackie, precious grandchildren: Tony, Wayne, Ciana, Nolan, Violet, great grandchildren: Owen and Ethan.


 Douglas was born and raised in Buchans, Newfoundland and worked at ASARCO Mining Company until 1965. He moved to Ontario with his family, and worked in Comdev Aero Space Industry, as a machinist and worked on many aero space projects that are now in space. Upon retirement, Douglas met the love of his life Joyce and moved back to his home province Newfoundland and resided in CBS. He will be fondly remembered for his many talents, especially woodwork skills and his innate musical ability.
