August 5th, 1952 - December 12th, 2025

Passed away suddenly, but peacefully, Dennis James Johnson, at his residence in Kelligrews, formerly of Little Catalina. He was predeceased by his parents: James and Mona, mother and father-in-law: Frank and Agnes. Dennis started work at the Come by Chance Refinery in 1973 before it ever opened and remained at the site until its closing in 1976. He worked from 1977 to 2005 at Memorial University when he retired. Dennis was a member of many groups including Topsail United Men’s Club, Topsail United Church Senior Choir for thirty years. He was a member of the St. John’s R C Flyers, COPA Pilots Group, IPMS Model Club and the Seventh Day Adventist Church, CBS. Leaving to mourn his loving wife: Pauline. Pauline and Dennis met in 1972 when Dennis was a college student and married in 1974. Also left with cherished and loving memories are his children: James (Melanie), Adrienne (Shawn Pike) and Shawn, grandchildren: Emily, Noah and Benjamin, brothers in law: John Nugent and Gord Nugent. Also, many special cousins, extended family and friends. Visitation at Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South, on Monday, December 15th from 3-8 pm. Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 16th from Topsail United Church at 11:00am. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kelligrews.
