Elizabeth Morgan Obituary

We are heartbroken to announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth Morgan (Betty) on January 17th, 2026, surrounded by “Her girls” after a 42-month battle with Cancer.

Predeceased by her beloved Mother Florence Morgan, her loving partner Fred Burke, brothers David and Kevin, and niece Laura-lee Porter.

Leaving to mourn with the most precious memories are her daughters Kelly Goulding (Peter), Barbie Healey (Tom) and Tina Patey (Darren) Her Grandchildren Dylan (Denika), Marissa (Brady), Parker, Cayden (Sarah) and Logan as well as her absolute treasures her 3 Great-Grandchildren Paisley, Josie-Marie and Charlee who Mom absolutely adored beyond measure.

Also left to mourn her loss are her brother Charlie (Louise) and sisters Julie and Lilly (Billy) along with wide circle of friends and Family.

Lovingly known as Nana to so many, Mom was our world and her family was hers. She raised us as a single mother devoting everything, she had to raise her girls with values. Her fierce love for her family was second to none. She protected us, rooted for us, and challenged us to be our best, even when life was at its hardest. She loved us deeply and without hesitation, and though she didn’t sugar-coat much, her words always came from a place of care and loyalty. We never realized until we were older that Mom didn’t have an easy life. She weathered hardship, loss, and challenges that would have broken a lesser spirit. Yet she kept going. She kept loving, kept fighting, and kept making sure her family had what they needed.

Her cancer diagnosis was no different.

The fighter in her came out strong and ready. She fought hard and battled through extreme pain to give us as much time to as possible.  We would like to thank her Medical Team who went above and beyond both through her journey and her last days at the HSC 4 North A.  Doctors Siddiqui, Holmes, McKay, Laing, Doran, Larsen and Nurses Maria, Trina and Brenda who were beyond kind and gentle with Mom; and nurse Kirsten Yetman who went that special mile to make Moms last hours peaceful and pain free. You will most certainly never be forgotten.

Had the circumstances of her journey ended differently you can bet one of her girls would have heard her say “I’m gonna get you to scoot me to Costco to pick up a treat for them.”

As per Mom’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service at this time.

We ask that any donations made in Mom’s Memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.

“And when my eyes finally close, and death is simply the end, I hope I feel the warmth of every hand that reached for me, the echoes of every word of kindness, and the love that never let me go.” -Unknown
