Charmaine Loder Obituary

CHARMAINE CATHERINE ANNE (COLE) LODER

July 9, 1964 – January 19, 2026

It is with deep sadness that the family of Charmaine Loder announce her peaceful passing on January 19th, 2026, following a short illness.

Charmaine is predeceased by her parents, Darrell and Mary (Carew) Cole.

Leaving to mourn with so many precious memories are her loving and devoted husband, Troy; beloved son, Matthew Ballard (Aly MacPherson) and cherished grandchildren, James, Keira and Saphaira whom she adored; brothers, Darrell  and Michael (Paulette); cousins Brian (Sandy), Tina (Carl), David (Kelly) and their families; Troy’s daughters, Ashley and Chelsea and their families; the Loder Family; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.Charmaine was a woman who lived with purpose and heart.  Fiercely devoted to her son and grandchildren, she found much joy in spending time making beautiful memories with them.  She was a straight-forward person with a deep sense of integrity and humor.  If Charmaine laughed, you couldn’t help but laugh with her!  She was kind at her core and appreciated life’s simple pleasures like quiet time at the cabin with Troy; a walk along the trailway; sitting in the sunshine.  Charmaine was active, always on the move, and a true and dependable friend.  She will be deeply missed by those who were lucky enough to know her.

Charmaine was the heart of her family, always putting others before herself.  Her love, laughter and kind spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Visitation will be at Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South, on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, from 3:00-7:00 PM.  Funeral service will be at Hickey’s Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026, at 11:00 AM.  Interment will take place at St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Upper Gullies, following the service.
