Alfred Newhook born June 24th, 1944, in Long Cove, Newfoundland. May 19th, 2026, Alf was reunited with the love of his life, Judy, after 14 years.  Alf has also reunited with his father (Robert), mother (Matilda), father-in-law (Willis), mother-in-law (Susan), sister (Doris), brother-in-law (Clem) and nephew (Thing II, Bob).  Left behind to join them at a later date, daughters, Paula and Stephanie, grandsons (the twins) Brett and Ashton, brother Wes and sister -in-law Rosalind.  Other special people left behind include longtime best friends George and Linda McDonald, and Alf's substitute grandchildren, McKenzie and Noah Mercer.  In addition, a lifetime of friends and coworkers. Cremation has already taken place.  Visitation will take place Saturday May 23rd,2026 from 10:00 AM to Noon at Hickey's Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South.  The funeral will take place at 1:00 PM Saturday at All Saint's Anglican Church, Foxtrap with interment to follow after the service. In honour of Alf's lifelong love of the Montreal Canadians, we request people to wear their favourite hockey jersey, t-shirt, hat and the like. Behind the family, will be seats for the Habs fans and we will leave the nosebleed seats in the back for Leaf’s fans GO HABS GO.
