Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 19, 2026, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, NL, at the age of 69. He was predeceased by his father, Hickman Langdon; his brothers, Donald & Carl Langdon; and his father-in-law, Cecil Northcotte, and nephew Donnie Langdon.

Dorman is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Tryphina; his three sons, Bailey (Hannah), Mitchell (Anna), and Andrew (Courtney); his cherished grandchildren, Madison, Johnny, Georgia, Jackson, and Julia; and his mother, Tryphena. He also leaves behind his surviving siblings, Olga (Guy), Diane (Austin), Juanita (Sandy), Dean (Darlene), Perry (CarolAnn), and Mike (Amanda); his mother-in-law, Mary Northcotte; his sisters-in-law, Doris and Emma (Hamilton); as well as a large circle of extended family and close friends.

Dorman was a man with a big sense of humor and an even bigger heart. He was incredibly kind, always considerate, and the kind of person who was constantly looking for ways to help others. Above all, he was a big softie when it came to his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

He was happiest when he was outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, or simply sitting outside enjoying the fresh air. Dorman loved being in the woods and cherished the times the family went out into the wilderness together for camping trips. Time spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, meant the world to him.

His family will forever cherish the memory of how he would drop absolutely everything at a moment's notice to help his kids and grandkids whenever they needed him. In his quieter moments, Dorman truly loved to watch the Salvation Army services live on television. His gentle nature and unwavering willingness to help will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cremation has taken place in the care of Hickey’s Funeral Home, Conception Bay South.
