It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michelle Fitzgerald Rennie announce her passing at the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on May 21st, 2026, at the age of 63.

Leaving to mourn with wonderful loving memories and broken hearts are her two loving sons: Mark and Sheldon, her precious mother: Betty Fitzgerald, brothers; Wally Fitzgerald (Daphne), Brendan Fitzgerald (Michaeline), sisters: Trudy Greenslade (Charlie), Annette Eby (Chris), Colleen Decker, brother-in-law: Terry Chafe, sister-in-law: Delores, brothers and sisters-in-law from the Rennie Family, aunt: Gertie Pembelton. Also, nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband: Dominic, father: Brendan Fitzgeald, sister: Helena Chafe, brother-in-law: Cecil Decker and special uncle: Jim Traverse.

Michelle was the epitome of selfless generosity. She was a genuinely altruistic and giving person who found joy in helping others without keeping score or expecting anything in return. She had a heart of gold. She also loved her radio bingo on Saturday evenings as well as always looked forward to bingo on Sundays at the Legion.

Funeral Service in Hickey’s Memorial Chapel on Monday, May 25th 2026, at 10:30am. Church, St. Lawrence on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church, St. Lawrence on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Mount Cecilia R.C Cemetery, St. Lawrence.
