Passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, age 79 years. Predeceased by her husband: Johnny Porter, parents: Anne and George Verge, sisters: Frances, Bridget: brothers, George, Llewlyn, Frank, two infant siblings: Mark and Shirley, sisters-in-law: Jean Porter, Cavelle Chafe and Audrey Verge, brother-in-law Sandy Porter, niece: Stephanie.

Left with fond and precious memories, daughter: Sherry (Craig), stepchildren: Farron (Brenda) and Angie, sisters-in-law: Virtue Tilley, Peg Greenslade, Charmaine Dawe (Brian), Nola Verge, Cathy Verge and Lucy Verge, step grandchildren, Stephanie, Ben, Jessica, Melanie and Allan, step great-grandchildren: Gia, Noah, Grayson, Farryn, Lennyn, Bennett, brothers: Les (Anita) and William, special friends: Sharon, Carol-Anne, Mary, Jean, Joan and Nadine. Also, nieces, nephews, and a large circle of family and friends.

Special thanks to those who took the time to make her life a little easier after Johnny’s passing, whether it was help with home repairs, taking her on errands/appointments, or just keeping her pleasant company. There are too many to mention but you know who you are.

Angela, affectionately known as “Big Ang”, made a huge impact on those who knew her. With a personality as big as her namesake, she was a second mom and nan to many. She was always there to listen and share a cup of tea. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South, on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, from 3:00pm – 7:00pm. Funeral Service in Hickey’s Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 19th, 2026, at 11:30am. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road, Foxtrap.
