To Myrtle, Family Members & Friends, The members of the Canadian Forces Supplementary Radio (SUPRAD) System Oldtimers' Association were deeply saddened by the news of Bob's passing. Many of us have known Bob since he enrolled in the Canadian Forces. The 31 years that he proudly served his country as an MOC 291 Communicator Research operator are full of enjoyable memories that will forever be remembered. I also had the honour of serving as fellow Lion with Lion Bob, when he was a member of the Gander Lions Club. Lion Bob was our Social Services rep and I can recall how much he enjoyed visiting with fellow Lions when they were in the hospital, and then, depending on the mood the Lion was in, Lion Bob would tell us that he either gave them a nice fruit basket, or a basket of lemons. Bob's unique sense of humour always made us laugh. Please know that as members of your extended military family, we will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
