To the Goobie-Badcock families: I'm so sorry and shocked to learn of Marg's passing. She was a very special person who made you feel at ease in her company. I have so many wonderful memories of long-ago camping trips at Brigus Junction and other family celebrations. Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. May God give you all the strength to get through this.

With a heavy heart I am saying goodbye to my Aunt Marg. Marg was not just an aunt to me ,she was my godmother. I'm not quite sure what that job entailed however whatever it was I'm sure she could of picked an easier candidate LOL. I remember as a child running away from home... where did I run.... Aunt Margs LOL. I was fortunate growing up not just to spend time with her as a family member I also worked for her for several years at wonderland and the xmas warehouse. She was a great person who never judged me for my reputation but for who I was to her. As time passed and I moved away we only seen each other on my return visits however I did have the chance to have a great conversation with her only months ago at the time of her 50th. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to tell her that I missed her and I loved her. My world is a little less without her. My thoughts are with the family today and I wish I could be there to share in her sending. Love Tommy.

To Tony and Dale and Family, Even though I did not know your mother, my own mother passed away not that long ago under similar circumstances. Then my father passed away not long after. It is not easy or an easy thing to accept. So here are a few words: I had my own notion of grief. I thought it was a sad time That followed the death of someone you love. And you had to push through it To get to the other side. But I’m learning that there is no other side. There is no pushing through. But rather, there is: Absorption. Adjustment. Acceptance. And grief is not something you complete. But rather you endure. Grief is not a task to finish, And move on, But an element of yourself – An alteration of your being. A new way of seeing, A New Definition of Self. Take care of one another, family is everything. Regards, Dean Butland (these are not my own words but my sentiment)

Beverley Rose, Kenneth White & Family made a donation to Ronald McDonald House Of Newfoundland and Labrador Inc.
George, Tony, Dale & Dawn - I remember seeing pictures of Marg helping out with meal preparation at Ronald McDonald House for charitable events and it always looked like she was having such a good time. I hope this donation will allow others to continue on with an activity she enjoyed so much and bring some benefit to those supported by this charity.
