Ruth, Carl and Laurie; I was very saddened when Wayne Burry advised me Carlz's passing. I worked with Imperial Oil over 33 years, 7 of those years at the St John's terminal. During my time on the Southside, and various other responsibilities, I had occasion to work with Robin and later Carlz as they carried out minor and major contract work at various sites in Nfld and Labrador. Carlz and I even did a trip to Resolute Bay together that subsequently lead to Stafford's Welding personnel making numerous Arctic trips to perform annual maintenance. I always enjoyed working with Carlz. I had high respect for his expertise and his ability to get the job done. The last time we met was at the Health Sciences in the X-Ray Dept, perhaps 3 yrs ago. I was shocked to see his condition, even then. We had a great chat at the time, reminiscing like two old veterans. Unfortunately, circumstances prevented me from attending at the funeral home or the funeral today, however, rest assured you are in our thoughts and prayers. Working with Carlz will be forever amongst my favourite memories of my years with Imperial Oil. Having such a reliable and dependable contractor, often made my job all the easier. Ron & Olive Yetman
