Obituary of Myra Kennedy

Myra Lillian Kennedy (nee Hayter) - April 17, 1959 - March 6, 2019 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mom, wife and "nanny K", Lilly Kennedy aged 59 years of Foxtrap. Lilly passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday March 6 at the Miller Centre Palliative care unit after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Eli and Chatfield Hayter of Trinity, Trinity Bay and special grandson Gordon. Leaving to mourn and cherish special memories are her Husband of 36 years, Alf. Daughters Jennifer (Ryan) and Christine (Justin), and her three grandsons Jack, Thomas and Maverick who were her pride and joy. Sisters Cora (Dave), Gettina (Jerry), and brothers Roger (Carrie), Edward (Wanda) and George (Kim). In-laws Hayward (Marilyn), Edgar (Ruby), Walter (Doris), and Edna. Also, a wonderful circle of family and friends. We would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, 4NA at the Health Science Centre and the Palliative care unit for the wonderful care Lilly received. Visitation at the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral home, Kelligrews on Thursday March 7th, 7-9pm and Friday March 8th 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Saturday March 9th at 11am at All Saints Parish, Foxtrap. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery, Dunn's Hill Rd. Please no flowers at family's request. A donation in Lilly's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
