Obituary of Eldon Saunders Hennessey

HENNESSEY, Eldon Saunders Passed into the presence of the Lord surrounded by his loving family, at the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home on Saturday, July 21, 2012. Eldon Saunders Hennessey, age 85 years of Long Pond, CBS. Butcher/farmer, sausage maker extraordinaire. Predeceased by: wife of 66 years Lilly (January 16, 2011), infant son, daughter Lucy, brother Jack, sister Valda, brothers-in-law Clarence Dawe (Janie), John Dawe, sister- in- law Muriel Dawe (Ralph). Loving father of Lilly Metcalfe and her husband Bruce, Don Hennessey and his wife Elaine. Loving Granddad to Annette Coates (Val), Kimberly Frazee (ED), Lori Anderson (Blaine), Cheryl and Renee Hennessey. Precious Great-Granddad to Andrew and Courtney Coates, and Nicholas, Bridget and Brooke Frazee, and Darwin Anderson. Brother -in- law to Marjorie Hennessey and Marjorie Dawe. Many thanks to all the staff of the Agnes Pratt nursing Home, especially the Stella Burry Unit who made him feel so at home for the past two and a half years. Appreciation is also extended to Rev. Dr. Gerald Benson, Pastor Derrick Sharon and Pastor Jeff Payne for their ministry. We are also grateful for the friendship of his Agnes Pratt buddies John McCarthy and Gordon Chubbs. Visitation in The James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews, CBS on Monday 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm, Tuesday 10 - 12 noon, 2 - 4 pm, and 7 - 9 pm, Wednesday 10 - 12 noon. A service celebrating his life will be held at Faith Pentecostal Church, Foxtrap Access Road, CBS at 2pm on Wednesday, July 25th.Interment in the Pentecostal Cemetery, Long Pond, CBS.
