Albert and family, I was saddened to hear of your mom's passing , many great memories to hold on to .I remember the large sticker band-aid she had on her bumper one day as she pulled up to the store, when I asked her about it grinning from ear to ear she says o that's my little boo boo...always a very kind lady so sweet. I heard the news today of Nan Barnes' passing and I'm sending love to all the family home in Newfoundland tonight. What a lovely woman she was, so very loving and kind. I remember her every Christmas when I hang my stocking that she made for me more than 20 years ago! She had a way of making anyone in her presence feel special.
So sorry to learn of the passing of your dear and beloved mother. We are reminded of the many times we enjoyed speaking with her at Meadowcreek Retirement Centre while our mother was there. We were saddened to learn that Mrs. Barnes had passed away. Years ago when we all lived in the same neighborhood, Mrs. Barnes (accompanied on numerous occasions by her husband, Mr. Barnes) provided afterschool care for our 2 daughters. We would often arrive home from work to the smell of freshly baked cookies and folded laundry! She was a very caring and thoughtful person, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
