So sorry to hear of Willie's passing. He was part of our childhood growing up next door to him and his mother on Cherry Lane and I have fond memories of playing horse shoes in his yard. I also remember he would clear the snow off the gully so we could skate and play hockey. Rest easy dear soul. Glenys Smith
My entire family and I ( including our Mom Abbie) are so sorry to hear of Will’s sudden passing. He was a Cherry Lane original and a fond part of our childhood and adult memories.My five brothers all have great memories of winter and summer hockey with Will dutifully and skillfully as goalie. I will remember him for his gentle manner and shy smile when we’d meet walking our dogs or share a word at the post office. He was a kind man and he will be missed in our neighbourhood.
