Gary Edmund and Family: Please accept our sincerest sympathies on your dear Mothers passing.. She was everybody's "Aunt Mary". Aunt Mary had a heart full of gold, and very kind, generous soul and every time you went to visit her she would always make sure you had a snack and something to drink before you left. Also loved listening to her playing her favourite Newfie Jig on her Acordian .

Francis and I met Mary through my late sister Ros Butler and her husband Clyde. We have some special memories of having many cups of tea both at home and “in the woods”. We’ve also had some wonderful trouting excursions - we with our fancy rods and reels and Mary with her dependable bamboo pole. I don’t think she even used a bobber. I always had to play a tune on her accordion whenever I visited, I still play “The Old Spinning Wheel” whenever I pick up my accordion, a tune I didn’t know before I heard Mary play it for me. Sincere condolences to the Dawe family on Mary's passing. I remember when she would visit Mom ( Prudence Rideout) on behalf of St. Peter's Church. Mom loved to see her coming. She was such a lovely, kind, soft-spoken person. She would sit and chat with Mom for the whole afternoon. She always had some baked goods with her for Mom. RIP Mary.
I have only good and heart warming memories of Mary, whom i remember to be warm, loving and caring. She loved Ralph and Aunt Fannie,a great friend of my father Max. I send sincere condolences to Gary, Edmund and her extended family. Her light burns brightly in her legacy to her children, grand children and great grandchildren.
Gary, Edmund and all of Mary's Family , having grown up in Upper Gullies I have very fond memories of Mary. One of my first jobs was with Mary and Ralph, her beautiful smile and personality was unforgettable . Sending heartfelt condolences from myself and my Family. I recollect your Mother as being one of the sweetest persons that one could ever encounter. After my Grandmother Minnie became bedridden from her stroke, my Grandfather Hubert would telephone a grocery list to your Mom and your Father Ralph would deliver it right to Pop's door. This will never be forgotten by me and was greatly appreciated. She is now with your Father and is cradled in the arms of our Lord and Saviour. Please take care and may Gop bless you all.
