Obituary of James Rees

James Augustus Rees. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on the morning of June 19, 2019 at the age of 79. A man of few words, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, avid outdoorsman, and thoroughly enjoyed the simple things in life. He is predeceased by his father Jimmy Gus and his mother Mary. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Nina, his children Brad (Derek), Blair (Donna), Lori (Bruce), Lynn (Don), Andria (Eddie), his grandchildren Mark, Tyler, Katelyn, Nathan, and his sister Vivian (Jim). Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre in St. John's where donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit through healthcarefoundation.ca.
