Our deepest condolences to all of you on the loss of such a wonderful gentleman as Cud. I have known Cud like a second father. Since I was a little girl I remember Cud coming to Point Lance every chance he could get, with his beautiful family in tow. We LOVED to see them all come over the “hill of the bridge.” He would party until the wee hours of the morning, and yet still be up at the break of dawn to enjoy his favourite hobbie, fishing. I think he often enjoyed the quietness of it and the fun of it versus catching trout. Then off he would come back to Point Lance to start his fun and badness for the evening, and keep at the “twins” to play guitars and sing while we enjoyed a BBQ. God, I will sure miss that laugh, that evilness, your love of dancing and kicking up those heels, and all the great times that we all enjoyed when you came to visit Maudie and all of us. My Dad, Foncy, truly adored you and I hope that the both of you are now able to enjoy a drop of Lambs together on the other side of the sod! Cheers Cud and I loves ya always. Our deepest sympathies to Jean and the Noseworthy family. Our memories of Cud are as a fun loving and charismatic man. The first person in a room to crack a joke and the last to leave the dance floor. As a young nephew I remember Cud as a prankster, the most memorable was when he convinced me that the peel of a banana was the best tasting part which he found rather funny upon seeing my face when I bit. As a teenaged nephew I fondly remember Cud’s visits to our house on Wishingwell Road when he would come during his work lunch breaks and visit his Mom (Nan) and have lunch with us. During one particular visit, I answered the phone and the person on the other end asked to speak with “Brendan” to which I advised he had the wrong number, this was the day I learned Cud’s given name. As an adult nephew while at a relatives wedding, I met for the first time several of Cud’s friends from Point Lance and I was genuinely impressed by their deep affection for Cud which was a wonderful ice breaker and left me feeling like I had instantly made new friends. May you find comfort in your fond memories. Rest in Peace Cud.
