Obituary of Olive Viola Paul
PAUL, OLIVE VIOLA - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on August 9, 2012, Olive Viola Paul of Upper Gullies, C.B.S., NL, formerly of Bay Roberts in her 78th year after a short illness. Pre-deceased by her father William Robert Paul, her mother Annie Jane Paul, her brother David Paul and her sister Millicent Russelll. Leaving to mourn, her sister Shirley Jones (Frank deceased), special niece Annie Jones Connors (Sean) and special nephews David Jones (Louise), Lemont Jones (Jeanette) Ron Jones with whose family she resided with for the last 33 years; her special great nieces Countney Jones and Alana Jones;along with other nieces and nephews whom she adored, Bonnie Hurley (Lawrence), Gerald Russell (Susan), Calvin Russell (Alice), Paul Russell (Evelyn), Marie Russell (Albert), great nephews Terrence Russell, Olive Marie Garland, Lorica Russell, Chantell Russell, Tee-jay Russell, Sherry Russell, Amanda Russell, Jordan Russell, Christopher Russell, Andrew Russell, Olivia Hurley, Lacey Hurleyl, sister in law Eleanor Burt, special friends Maisie Edwards, Janet Graham, Benny and Daisy Skeard, and a large circle of friends and other relatives. Aunt Ollie as she was known to all was an educator having taught at Grand Bank and Brigus, who instilled a love of life long learning in all around her, With her quick wit and indomitable spirit and love of life she will be sadly missed by all around her. Special thanks to her personal physicians, Dr. Gayle Garber and Dr. Michael Paul, and to the nurses and doctors of the Intensive Care Unit and 4 North B of the Health Sciences Center for the kindness and care that they showed her during her final illness. Resting at Hickey's Funeral Home in Kelligrews, C.B.S., NL with visitation Friday, August 10 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m, Saturday, August 11 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, August 12 from 10a.m.-12 noon. Funeral Service to take place at Topsail United Church, Topsail, NL Sunday, August 12 at 2 p.m. with Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery in Port de Grave, NL.
