Robert Peet posted a condolence
I have fond memories of Aubrey, going back almost 70 years and, more recently, when I was 'home' on holiday (several years ago) and attended the CBS Masonic lodge dinner and meeting through his invitation. Although Aubrey has traveled upon the Level of Time to that "undiscovered country, from whose bourne no traveler returns", I'm especially thinking of him today. Sincerely, Robert Peet Delhi, New Yorkj

Craig and Paulette Noseworthy posted a condolence
Cynthia, please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of your husband. Aubrey was a fine gentleman with a quick, friendly smile and sense of humor. I recall a Sunday years ago, when our family, (family of the late John (Jack) and Daphne Noseworthy) first moved to Seal Cove. As we were leaving the church after morning service, Dad had gone to get the car and we were waiting at the gate with Mom, Aubrey pulled up and asked Mom if we needed a ride home. When Mom responded with " No , Jack is just gone to get the car." He replied with "Well...that's nice of him now isn't it." It was a quick comment out of the blue, that made us smile. A light hearted comment that I recall, as I remember him. Aubrey was a great friend to Dad and our family as we became members of St. Peter's Church and community. May the special moments and memories bring you peace and comfort. Craig and Paulette Noseworthy

In the past four years I've got to know Aubrey as a friend and source for stories about the community and church. I will surely miss his gracious manner and winning smile, and the conversations around the table as we shared a cup of tea so graciously prepared by Cynthia. Aubrey was a pillar of the community and church. A life well lived. Rest in peace, Aubrey.

Jennifer Hughes posted a condolence
I was so saddened to read of Mr. Dawe's passing. He served on Town Council beside my father Ed and they shared a special friendship at Lodge Conception. My most recent fond memories are sharing a nod and a wink often as he and his beloved Cynthia strolled past anytime - he 'taking his walking stick for a walk'. A kind and generous man with a church choir voice that will forever reverberate. Deepest condolences to Mrs. Dawe and your family and friends. Sincerely, Jennifer

I have many special memories of Uncle Aubrey. A very kind and gentle man who always had time for a story, a smile, and a hug. Mom tells the story of when I was a little girl and visiting you, Uncle Aubrey, and Mom the Gullies, when I pointed at a glass Christmas ornament on your tree and how I loved that little brown bird. Uncle Aubrey took the bird from the tree and handed it to me. Every year ever since that special ornament has had a place of honor , first on the tree at my mom's and then on my family's Christmas Tree. Every Christmas I smile and tell my girls the story of this very special gift. I also remember the year when I went to work at the Miler Centre and how you and Uncle Aubrey would pick me up each day and drive me home. I remember the smell of his pipe and ll the wonderful family stories he would share. Such a wonderful , wonderful man! May your memories bring you comfort, Dawn and Jim Haines and Family

Cynthia and Family, I am saddened to hear of the passing of Aubrey. A gentleman in every sense of the word and; a faithful servant of God. Whether it was serving on vestry or singing in the church choir, his smile, charm and whit were effective on everyone. I will always be grateful of the support he gave to me during the time I was preparing for ordination. I know he was proud the night I was ordained Deacon and presenting me to The Bishop for ordination. He was literally a pillar of the local church. Like Father Michael, I too, will remember him at the altar. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Michele Hogg posted a condolence
Dear Cynthia, I am so very sorry to learn of Aubrey's passing. He was always a kind, loving & wonderful man. I have so many fond memories of listening to his voice reverberate at St. Peter's. My fondest memory is a Christmas Eve candle light service with Aubrey singing O Holy Night a capella. I was a teenager at the time & from that night on this Carol became my favourite. My family & I were always grateful for the many times that he helped our Dad, John Noseworthy, when his car broke down and offered to drive Dad to church when Alzheimer's took away Dad's ability to drive. We were also very grateful to Aubrey in 2009 when Mom passed away. I remember calling your home and although Aubrey was not feeling well at the time, he gathered a few of the choir members and comforted us by singing Mom's favourite hymns. He was a wonderful and very special man. Again I am so very sorry for your loss & I hope that you will find comfort in knowing that you both have touched the lives of so many. Sincerely, Michele (Noseworthy) & Stephen Hogg & family
