My Jimmy how lucky is heaven above, To be blessed with your spirit so full of our love, For you are the heartbeat that never will end, Your smile given freely to family and friend. My Jimmy when I was a child I recall, The fun on Grand Ave that was had one and all. And you are the reason our lives were so bright, Your music, your wisdom and laughter our light. My Jimmy my mother will live everyday, In memory, with tears, and in silence she'll pray. For you were the spark, that one burning ember, That kept her so young when your love she'd remember. My Jimmy the one thing I know is for sure, The love of Aunt Amy was sacred and pure, And all of the children you both hold so dear, Will never forget you, you'll always be near. My Jimmy I want you to know this from me, If you hadn't been there when I was just wee, My heart filled with memories of laughter and smiles Would have broken for long ago because of the miles, But because God has shared you with all of us here, You're life will go on, you will not disappear, For at every gathering, the young and the old, Will remember you fondly, your stories retold. And when we cross over to God's holy land, We'll have no trouble finding you, You're at his right hand. God bless all that love you and all those you love. No amount of tears can wash away the joy you've brought to all of us. If the Lord loves you half as much as we all do, you will be exalted. I will always hold you deep inside.
