Obituary of John James Jim"" Rideout

Rideout, John James (Jim) April 1, 1928 - August 23, 2012 Passed peacefully away in the presence of family and friends at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's, Jim Rideout of Holyrood, formally of Fleur - de - Lys, NL, age 84 years. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Mary Rideout, stepmother Frances Rideout, brother Joseph, sister Genevieve and special friends Tom and Pat Furey. Left with fond and loving memories are: his brothers Tom (Marie), Stan (Karen), Ron (Marjorie), Roy (Gwen); sisters Kathleen (Joe Dempsey), Margaret Ann (Jerry Reeves), Angela (Doug McQuinn), Clo (Graham Dicks) and Shirley; and his partner Bertha Furey of Holyrood, NL and her family; Peggy (Sam Drover), Loretta (Bob Caines), Cathy (Melvin Haas), Judy (Max Haas), Bertha (Junior Kelly), Karen, Phil and Madonna Furey, and special God Child Allison Kelly. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation in Hickey's Funeral Home, Holyrood on Saturday and Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Mass to take place on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 10:30 am from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to follow at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Fleur-de-Lys.
