Obituary of Leslie MacDonald
It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Leslie MacDonald on Dec 6, 2019 at the age of 85 years; beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and faithful friend. Predeceased by first wife and mother of his four daughters, Janet MacDonald (nee Fiander), parents Norman and Amelia MacDonald, sister Alva, brother Hayward, brothers-in law Johnny Cutler and Lawrence Keeping, sister-in-law Josephine. Leaving to celebrate his life his loving wife of 13 years Marina; Daughters: Colleen (Mark), Wanda (John), Anita (Barry), and Judy; Grandchildren: Kristopher, Jacqueline, Nicholas, Mark, Michael, Alexandra, and Kristen; Sister: Gladys; Step-sons: David (Kathy), Brian (Joy); Step-grandchildren: Stephanie (Matthew), Timothy (Karl), Gillian, Jessica (Tom), and Jonathan; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
He had a lifelong passion for spending his time on the water with family and friends while piloting his boat, the Cowaanju, around Conception Bay. As an instructor with the Avalon Power and Sail Squadron, he touched the lives of many. As well, his love of music and dancing was a joy to behold and he never missed a step whether it was square dancing or two-stepping. He will be deeply missed.

Resting at the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home in Kelligrews with visitation on Saturday, Dec 7th, 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, Dec 8th, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the James J. Hickey Memorial Chapel, Kelligrews on Monday, Dec 9th at 11 a.m with Rev. Bill Strong officiating. Interment to follow at All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Dunne's Hill Road, Foxtrap, CBS.
