I am shocked to hear of this today December 13th. I knew Richard through cadets and worked with him in the summer of 88 and kept in touch through to the early 90s. He had such an infectious smile and was the bright light to be around as he accepted everyone into his circle. I am saddened to hear that our world is without such an energetic soul. My condolences to the family.

Wow! I am shocked and saddened that such a funny and vibrant person has left us. I was a Staff Sergeant at Camp Argonaut back in 1987. Richard was a section Corporal under me. We had so much fun that summer! It was the best year of my cadet years! After growing being bullied, I didnt have much self confidence. Richard made it so easy to fit in. Even though I was his superior, we treated each other as equals. I never had to give him orders and he never ever undermined my authority. I am sorry we never continued our friendship beyond that summer, but I will be saddened knowing he is gone. My thoughts and prayers are with you all right now. Know that Richard had a profound effect on one shy and quirky 17 year old back in 1987. I will never forget him.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time. We remember many nights Richard spent in our basement with our Son John and all his other buddy's. They were in School and Cadets together. RIP Richard gone way to young.

My sincere condolences to the Hobbs family. Although I lost touch with Richard, I still thought of him often. We worked together at Camp Argonaut, and he was my platoon Cpl one year. His sense of humour is and his great smile are what i remember most about him. Gone to soon.

Though Richard and I did not spend a lot of time together growing up, I definitely remember his bright and humorous personality from our high school years at Queen Elizabeth in Foxtrap. Thoughts and prayers are with Richard's family and friends during this difficult time. Gone well before his time. RIP Richard.

My condolences to the entire family. Although Richard and I had lost touch, maybe 20 years ago, we certainly spent a lot of time together in the years immediately following high school and managed to get together every couple of years, through the 90’s. Over the last 10 years or so, I occasionally tried to track him down through social media and had wondered where he may have ended up. I’m sorry that he is gone, well before his time. He was a good friend.

Danny and Family,
So sorry to hear of Richard’s passing. Sending you all sincere condolences. I remember Richard as a happy, go lucky, funny guy from our days as Army Cadets. He would always put a smile on your face, no matter what mood you were in. Cherish your memories, as Richard is at peace and will follow you all as a loving guardian angel.
Take care of each other at this time of need and god bless you all to find comfort!
Jackie
