I’m just now hearing of Hughs death, even though to me he was “ Brud”, I was a little girl growing up and thought that was his real name. I’d like to say living in Dawes Road we were all one big happy family. I’m so sorry that in this trying time of our lives we still have to deal with every part of life. Love Always Gloria

Loved Uncle Brud and Aunt Happy babysitter for Hughie and Elizabeth slept over many times I loved coke and maple leaf bologna and they often brought home for me as a treat when they came home

So saddened to hear that Uncle Brud has passed. Many fond childhood memories of him. I spent many days going with him to the hockey rink to watch Steve play hockey and often tagged along with the family for drives and to Holyrood Park for a picnic and a day of swimming! A quiet, kind uncle who was always up for a bit of fun too!
More recent days, you’d find him in the shed with dad cooking up a scoff or just chatting. Now he’s reunited with loved ones gone before him.
I’ll Cherish the memories.
