YVONNE, WAYNE, ROBIN, BILL and JACK - I want you all to know that I am saddened to hear of Sid’s passing, even though it’s probably been decades since we last spoke and carried on. It must be a sign that we are all getting older, because whenever we hear of these sad events, it makes our minds immediately jump back to our happy and carefree days. When I thought of Sid, I thought about being in your homestead, with that huge rock outside, the house full of life and noise, with a large crowd of us in “the front room”. I remember Aunt Annie trying to keep us all in line, and Uncle Bert just quietly taking it all in. I remember where the cigarettes were stored – LOL. It is sad that this COVID-19 situation keeps us all from personally offering comfort. I am sure you guys have loads of great memories, of which Sid was an integral part. Lean on these memories to help you though these dark days. God Bless!!

So sorry to hear of Sid's passing. Although I have not seen him a lot in the last few years we have a lifetime of great memories. All of you have been in my mind a lot these last couple of days as I reminisce of years gone by. I will never forget our trip to Kelly's Island in a small boat many years ago. Never got one fish and had to settle for "take out" when we got home. Another time on my 19th birthday which was on a Good Friday. No beer stores open but we managed to find one a celebrate in our shack on Legion Road. Many other great times..too many to mention. These last few days have sure been sad to say the least. Sid will be missed greatly. He was always such a beautiful person who never bothered anyone. It was always a true pleasure to see him. RIP Sidney.
