George, Jennifer, Jeremy and Lisa: I like others am heartbroken and am at a loss for words. It’s not fair to be robbed of such a beautiful person, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, but unfortunately we have no control over this. I like many worked with Barb for a number of years and from there not only developed a working relationship but a friendship which I cherish to this day. I often think of Barb when I make a pot of soup, she enjoyed her soup and club sandwiches. Her face would light up when she spoke of her family, you were her no. one priority, she had such love for you all. The world is a better place for having known her but the gap will be hard to fill. Rest in peace my friend

George:
Jack and I are so sorry for your loss of your best friend and beloved wife, Barbara, and the loss of a spectacular mother to Lisa, Jennifer and Jeremy. Barbara was an extraordinary person and her legacy is sure to live on through the many lives she touched. I had the privilege of working with Barbara at Cox & Palmer for 23 years where she became one of my closest and dearest friends, which was extended beyond the workplace. The many years I have known Barbara seem so few now but the wonderful times we shared will be with me always. George, may your beautiful memories sustain and bring comfort during this time of grief. Jack and I are here for you always and our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I had worked with Barb at Halley Hunt/Patterson Palmer Hunt Murphy until 1998 when I left practice. All during that time she was incredibly friendly, cooperative, and industrious. We were very fortunate to have her at the firm. Her pleasant nature made her a joy to work with.
I will remember her warmly and pray for you all.

Jen & Family – I have such fond memories of your mom from growing up. In our younger years she would take us to Brownies and Girl Guides, swimming, sleepovers and birthday parties. I can picture her laughing along to our many giggle-fits and childish shenanigans. As teenagers and young adults she shook her head and laughed at our over-the-top shopping and partying ways. She always greeted me with her warm and welcoming smile and supported us in anything we needed. I can still hear her laugh. I also had the privilege more recently of working with her for several years at Cox & Palmer. It was an adjustment for me to call her Barb rather than Mrs. Jestican but she just smiled and laughed and welcomed me with open arms to her professional world. I was comforted with the thought that she was looking out for me as I found my way in professional life. She will be missed by so many. I will miss her dearly. You were her world, her everything. Take comfort in the beautiful memories – I know there are so so many.

So so sorry to hear of barb’s passing. It was a quite a shock and it will take sometime for me to get over it. It must be really hard for all of you, as well her sisters and brothers to adjust to life without her. I know for me I wish I could call her one more time and say it’s been too long, let’s get together for lunch. Barb was from my hometown and even though I knew her then; it was in 1981 working together that we re-connected and remained good friends sharing ole memories, new stories about our children and their lives , and having many laughs and tears along the way: she loved her family and cherished her children and the joy of grandchildren. She is now in the arms of her mom who she worshipped and honoured
You will be missed
Take care and stay safe George Jennifer Jeremy and Lisa and their families.

George, Jennifer, Jeremy and Lisa. Our deepest sympathy in the sudden passing of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. I worked with Barb from 1982 until my retirement in 2011 and even after my retirement I would pick her up at work and we would go for lunch at least once a month just to keep in touch. For many of our years working together we worked next to each other and many times we would laugh at something happening and say one day we should really write a book - we certainly had some good times which I will cherish forever.
Rest in Peace my friend. You will be greatly missed.

I am so deeply saddened to hear of Barb's passing. It was such a shock to hear that she had passed away. I cannot imagine how hard it must be for all of you. I worked with Barb @ Mercer MacNab & Vavasour and @ Cox & Palmer for about 22 years. During that time we became co-workers and good friends. We had many good times in Heart's Content for the girls retreat each year at the Kellys. Barb loved her family and breaks and lunches always consisted of talking about her family and sharing stories of our children. She was highly respected at those firms and was a dedicated hard worker. May it help a little to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all as you go through this difficult time.
