Obituary of Edward Finn

Edward Finn February 28th, 1938 – June 25th, 2020 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Edward Finn announces his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Thursday, June 25th, 2020 at the age of 82 years. Born in St. John’s, NL, Edward was predeceased by his parents Richard (Mary) Finn and Margurite Finn. He was also predeceased by his loving grandparents Patrick and Elizabeth Crawley, brothers; Joe Finn, Tom Finn, Richard (Eileen) Finn, John Finn, sister; Mary (Jim) Ryan, brothers-in-law; Richard (Marcella) Lewis and Nelson Sherren,and sister-in-law; Rosalene Lewis. Edward leaves to mourn with fond memories his loving wife of 57 years Margaret, children; Patrick (Alberta) Finn of Mount Pearl, NL, Louanne (Terry) Ford of Clarenville, NL, Carolyn (Cecil) Lomond of Port aux Basques, NL, Ricky (Kathy) Finn of Kingston, ON, four precious grandchildren; Megan Pardy, Paddy Finn, Seamus Finn and Grody Finn. Edward also leaves to mourn his brother Gus Finn of Placentia, NL, sisters Betty (Nick) Butorac of Mount Pearl, NL, Helen (Joseph) Coady of St. John’s, NL, sisters-in-law; Mary Lou (Matt) Whelan, Barbara Barnes and brothers-in-law; Daniel Lewis, Jerry Lewis plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. In keeping with Edward’s wishes cremation has taken place. Due to the current public health advisory of COVID-19, there will be a viewing at East Haven Funeral Home on Sunday, June 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A private visitation and funeral service is planned in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews. Interment will take place at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Cemetery in Holyrood, NL at a later date.
