I remember this picture in Kandahar, where we first met. Lots of great times there, hard to believe but Bev was always that smiling face. We went to her first Grey Cup together in Vancouver, did everything, had a blast. I always understood why she didn't get a fur-baby, because of her travels, but was so excited when Mr. BJ came into her life. She lived life to the fullest and ended way too soon. Will miss you. Will miss your travels. Will miss your happy posts.

This breaks my heart to hear. Bev was one of the kindest sweetest souls around. Heaven has really gained an angel and we have lost one. I met Bev over 20 years ago and kept in contact then lost it and reconnected two years ago, it saddened me to hear and we had been trying to set up a FaceTime for ever and now won’t get the chance. She was so kind and sweet to my kids and would send care packages from when she was in Germany. She places a special mark in my heart one that I will i never forget! My condolences to her family whom I know she loved so dearly! RIP Bev another soul gone too soon! Xo

There hasn't been a day gone by from the first day we met in 1999 at Bernays Block on the base that I haven't thought of you. It seemed like we had an instant friendship which I have cherish over all these years. When I first heard the news you were sick I cried and felt so helpless that I wasn't there to support you and your family. It still doesn't seem real that you are gone. I am still sadden but lately I have been remembering our many shenanigans we got up to and it has made me smile and giggle some. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful memories to cherish! Miss and love you Beverley. Till we meet again.
To Sara, John, Lisa, Johnny and Jingles I am sending my heartfelt condolences on the loose of your amazing daughter, sister and mum. Even though she is gone she will never be forgotten as she has touched so many lives with her kindness, laughter, smile and especially how she was always positive. I know I am not next door but if there is any thing you need I will always be here.
Every time I hear the song Dancing in the Sky by Danny and Lizzy it touches my heart as it feels so fitting for Beverley.
Sending a hug to everyone of you

Bev and I served together in Esquimalt. She was a mentor, a friend, and a light in my life. She always had a smile and a friendly word for everyone. She made me laugh at her sense of humour. She was one of the best supply techs we ever had and she will be very missed. I followed along with her travels and it seemed she made more friends wherever she went. Her MBJ brought me joy when she would post photos of her little kitten and I hope he’s doing okay without his mamma. I’ll always love you, Bev and your memory will never be forgotten.

To the Skehans family, my wholehearted condolences on the passing of Beverley. I met Bev when she was posted in Edmonton but when I got posted to Victoria we definitely became instant friends all over again. I don’t know anybody who met Bev and didn’t hold her as someone special in their heart. That is just how she made everyone feel. My first outing with Bev - she was to be my tour guide through Victoria so I would be able to get around on my own. We went to the Irish Times Pub for lunch and left 7 hours later. Filled with an afternoon of music, laughter and meeting new people, that memory will be a forever in my heart. Whether we attended the Santa Claus parade downtown, a mess dinner on base, or a Remembrance Day ceremony, they all seemed even better because Bev was there.
Her love for you all was evident every time she spoke of you in any capacity. Reminiscing about a time or trip you took together and I know her goal was get home to Nfld and I am so glad she had this time with you all.
There are no perfect words, but hold each other tight during these upcoming days and just remember her wonderful smile.
Miss her already.

Brudder Johnny and Sister Wesa, Mom and Dad,
I am still shocked that Beverley is gone, I keep trying to wake from this dream, but I then realize its not a dream, it is in fact real, She is gone, with the angels.
Beverley was a beautiful soul, she had the best stories of Brudder and Sister, and of course her Ma and Pa too, She always had a smile, no matter what she was doing, and a laugh,
I will miss her so much, I already do, Beverley would light up the darkest days, and the darkest rooms, with her energy, She fought the best fight I ever saw,and never complained, just said I will kick cancers ass. Sadly, we all become tired after a while.
I am so so proud to call her my friend, and I will miss her terribly, Mr. Bo Jingles loved his Mama so much, and she him.
Beverley my beauty, until we meet again, I love you, and will think of you every day, and smile.
So much love,
Paula XO

Our sincerest condolences to the Skehan's family. Beverley was definitely one of a kind, and her smile absolutely infectious. Her warm smile and kind heart is what made knowing her and working with her just so easy. I met Bev for the first time in 2003 in Nijmegen Holland one extremely early morning, she was a Leading Seaman at the time and I was just a Private and we became instant friends. We then had the opportunity to work together when she was posted to Edmonton when I was an augmentee for my fourth time going to Afghanistan and it would prove that PO Skehan's would be my boss. She made my Valentines day that year when my husband Donnie and her conspired to have flowers delivered to me. She was there to pick me up at the airport in Edmonton when I went home for a visit on training. Another fond memory of her was when she met me at midnight at the KAF airport coming back from a visit back home and she was standing there with a Tim Horton's coffee for me. Our paths last crossed in Esquimalt(2017) when I started my new job as a Career Manager for our trade and she was so excited for her upcoming retirement and going home to be close to family. Funny thing we share a birthday, June 2 and my parents got married the exact same day as hers did to the year. So its been to easy with wishing birthdays and anniversaries for our parents. I am proud to have worked with her and to have become friends with her so many years ago as I am a better person for it today and always. She will never be forgotten, every June 2, I will raise a glass to my Gemini sister. Love Nicole and Donnie XOX

My condolences to Bev’s Family, she loved you all so much. Bev and I met in 2003 when we bought townhouses side by side in Belmont, Victoria. I became her neighbour which she called me for years, the movie castaway was out with Tom Hanks and thus Bev became Wilson after the soccer ball. She was leaving HMCS Ottawa and I was posted to the ship. We never worked together but became good friends. We went to Cuba for Christmas 2003 and had a fun time. We went to Vegas as well in 2017 and wherever you go with Bev, your sure to have a great time. She loved Remembrance Day and was so proud to wear the Naval Uniform. She loved St Patricks Day and always dressed up in green for the occasion. She lived and loved life, she did more in 54 yrs then people that live in there 80’s.Bev, became part of my family, attending BBQs and getting to know everyone. She took the time to touch on everyones life and made the most of her friendships. We are all so lucky to have a little bit of her to love. She is the sunshine in the day and the stars in the night. She will be sorrowly missed but her spirit will be with us and eventually our tears will dry up and and our smiles like hers will come back in remembering this most amazing beautiful lady.
